Atheist Comments on a Clip

We need better atheists...

So I uploaded a clip to my YouTube channel where I was critiquing a woman who claimed that Atheism is the lack of a belief system and I got a response to the clip saying that I mischaracterizing atheism. The commentor claimed that atheism, in itself, is not a worldview and that I needed to distinguish between individual beliefs held by atheists and that no one would ever claim that atheism is the lack of a belief system. While I did make the statement that not all atheist hold the same worldview and while on the surface, it may be true that atheism is not a belief system it still doesn’t negate the fact that there is a worldview that brought the atheist to the conclusion that God doesn’t exist. Now, I am still not convinced whether or not this was a real person or a bot seeing how the internet is plagued with bot accounts but I played along and responded to the comment. It seemed obvious to me that the commentor did not watch the clip as he didn’t realize that the lady in the video did in fact state that atheism is the lack of a belief system and it was only 35 seconds into the clip that she said this. The point of criticizing the atheist is not in and of itself to criticize atheism, well kind of, it is to attack the underpinning worldview that leads to atheism which is most often materialism since they usually claim they see no evidence for God and when you push them on this it always comes down to a lack of physical evidence that they are looking for to change their mind. So doing an internal critique into materialism is usually a good way to challenge their presuppositions on how they even account for things they believe in yet lack any material evidence for like the mind, thoughts, numbers, morality, all of these things in which the atheist will expect to just be granted to them as axiomatic, or in other words, a proposition that is self-evident and requires zero justification. If the atheist wants the ability to claim that all of their metaphysics are axiomatic and require zero justification then to argue this, we can just say that we are claiming the same. God is axiomatic along with all of His commandments and we are justified in pushing legislation that falls in line with the Christian worldview since are claims are now just as valid as theirs and they have no moral argument to tell us we are wrong.
